The company is to design, build and install a new marina in Mombassa, Kenya.
The UK’s Walcon Marine has won the contract to design, build and install a new marina in Mombassa, Kenya.
English Point Marina will be the centrepiece of a new luxury resort that is currently under construction. When completed, the marina will have 45 berths for yachts of up to 47m (154ft), although larger yachts will be able to anchor off in protected waters.
Walcon is building the pontoons using its Waliflote model for the largest berths and its aluminium System 2000 design for the remainder. The company will also install 3.5m (11ft)-wide Waliflote wave attenuating pontoons. All of the pontoons are being constructed at Walcon’s main manufacturing facility in the UK.
