Pantaenius partners with Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (14 January 2013)

The marine insurance provider has confirmed a Platinum Partnership with ASMEX 2013

Marine insurance provider Pantaenius has confirmed a Platinum Partnership with the 2013 Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX).

In a push to increase awareness of its recently launched office in Sydney, Australia, Pantaenius sees ASMEX as a significant platform in which to profile their products and services to this market.

“Due to their extensive infrastructure for maintenance, repairs and all kinds of yacht services, Australia and New Zealand are important stopovers for many circumnavigators,” says Pantaenius general manager Martin Baum. “For Pantaenius as a truly global yacht insurance provider, it was therefore a logical step to enter the Australian market.

“We wanted to be where our customers are and support our boats whenever they need it,” he adds. “Moreover, we felt that it was imperative to extend our insurance services to these areas, as previously yachts that cruise internationally had no real port of call for insurance services on the Red continent.

Baum, who will provide a market overview at ASMEX from an insurer’s perspective, describes the new partnership as a logical move. “They have maintained the right partners for many years and succeeded in developing a first-class infrastructure for superyachts,” he says.

Pantaenius claims to be the largest yacht insurance provider in Europe with a significant presence worldwide. The company has been insuring yachts for more than 40 years, and has offices in the UK, Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Austria, Australia and the US. (https://plus.ibinews.com, 14 January 2013)
