MYBA Charter Show a success (24 May 2014)

Having attracted 54 of some of the world’s best superyachts available for luxury charter and 64 charter related exhibitors – this year’s MYBA Charter Show proved once again to be another busy and successful event.
Held from 28th April to 2nd May, yachts were moored in the Porto Antico part of Genoa, along both Marina Molo Vecchio and Aquarium Quays. It was quality and variety which described the assembled fleet in the long standing ‘trade only’ show, comprising 49 motor yachts and 6 sailing yachts.
?At 73.60 metres in length Naia (formerly known as Pegaso) represented by YPI was the largest yacht present. The show also welcomed the reappearance of Fair Lady, the 42 metre Camper & Nicholsons motor yacht represented by Burgess, fresh from a major 6 month overhaul last year.
Replacing the traditional Tuesday evening Gala Reception was this year’s less formal Show Opening Cocktail party and the amazing end-of-Show ‘Super Heroes’ Crew Party – held for all the hard-working yacht crews present at the Show – proved a spectacular highlight. The Chefs’ Competition also made a welcome return, with an ‘International Brunch with Baked Goods Basket’ theme providing the main challenge.
With a well attended MYBA Members’ forum having taken place at the NH Marina Hotel as well as various seminars, the business focused nature of the Show didn’t disappoint and was praised by attendees, with many marking the event as the best MYBA Charter Show yet.
