More than 90 brokers and agents have already signed up for this year’s event
Owners and captains of some of the most luxurious superyachts in the broader Mediterranean region have confirmed their attendance at the 2nd MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show in Porto Montenegro.
With more than 90 brokers and agents already registered, the event promises to be an even bigger success than the inaugural show in 2015. It runs from September 2-4, 2016.
The MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show is the only B2B event of its kind to be staged in the region and is the result of a close partnership with MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association.
The list of participating yachts this year includes the 58m Lord of the Seas, which was built in 2013 by Egeria Yachts, the 49.9m Philip Zepter yacht JoyMe, the 46m steel Sanlorenzo Reve D’Or and a traditional gullet, the 42.5m Daima.
“The MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show is a unique combination,” says Fiona Maureso, president of MYBA. “It is foremost a sales and charter show but at the same time it provides an excellent opportunity for brokers to discover a destination that they may not yet be familiar with.
“Being a Pop-Up, it is also less formal and the atmosphere always remains relaxed within the marina village. With a yacht club, restaurants and bars, high end shopping and a five star hotel, there is no end to the attractions to be found. And that is even before one explores the stunning surrounding areas.”
The industry-only event generates business and networking opportunities through interesting and engaging social events, while the seminar programme aims to provide participants with information on the chartering opportunities of the region. Seminars will address issues such as the cruising grounds of Montenegro and Croatia, tax and legislation rules of chartering as well as tax free importing in Montenegro.
The MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show is open to all MYBA-qualified yachts that are over 20m, charter agents and brokers. There will be automatic acceptance for MYBA members, YACHTFOLIO subscribers, and MYBA E-Contract subscribers.
The inaugural MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show, held in 2015, was a great success with more yachts than initially anticipated and around 80 brokers, agents and other related yachting professionals in attendance.
