Superyacht broker Yachtzoo has signed a contract to exclusively handle berth rental and long leases at OneOcean Port Vell in Barcelona, Spain.

The announcement comes just five months after Yachtzoo was appointed central agent for Porto Montenegro berths, and will be an important addition to the firm’s growing stable of superyacht marina berths.

Located in the heart of Barcelona, OneOcean Port Vell is one of Europe’s largest superyacht marinas, with more than 150 berths for craft up to 190m.

The facility’s Spanish Quay claims to be the longest dedicated superyacht quay in the world stretching over 440m with 10m depth of water throughout.

“Barcelona is the western Med’s cosmopolitan yachting centre of the future and OneOcean Port Vell offers some of the most exciting berthing opportunities on the market today,” says Yachtzoo partner, Darrell Hall.

Hall believes Barcelona has real potential to establish itself as the region’s most desirable home port as well as a sought after charter spot.

“Recent changes to charter regulations are expected to light the touch paper on the charter market in Spain and as a cultural and transportation hub Barcelona will be at the centre of this growth,” Hall concludes.

Current investments at OneOcean Port Vell include flexible leases until 2036 with sub-rent and resale capabilities.

Yacht brokerage Yachtzoo operates from offices in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale.
