Event joins the Palma Boat Show running from 1-5 May 2013
Six international yacht brokerage firms have joined forces to organise the Superyacht Brokerage and Charter Show in Palma. The initiative has evolved from the Mallorca Superyacht Days, a show held in Port Adriano last year.
The Superyacht Brokerage and Charter Show will be part of the Palma Boat Show, held on the same dates, but will be exclusively for yachts with a minimum length of 24m (78ft).
Burgess Yachts, Camper & Nicholsons International, Dahm International, Fraser Yachts, Northrop and Johnson and Ocean Independence have teamed up to form the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA) which is behind the initiative.
Arne Ploch from Camper & Nicholsons International, comments: “It just made complete sense to combine our Superyacht Brokerage and Charter show with the Palma Boat Show. We are convinced that this new format will be a positive move for both events.”
BYBA has signed a three year agreement with the Balearic Islands’ Government, organisers of the Palma Boat Show, to consolidate Mallorca and in particular Palma, as a strategic centre for large yachts in the Mediterranean. (https://plus.ibinews.com, 26 February 2013)
