New owner for China Xiamen International Boat Show (26 December 2012)

The show’s management has been taken over by EuroExpo and the Grand Pavois Organisation

The successful regional China Xiamen International Boat Show (CXIBS) has new owners. Its management has been taken over by EuroExpo and the Grand Pavois Organisation, which for the past three years have co-organised the Shenzhen International Boat Show.

Set up in 2008, CXIBS has developed quickly not only to become one of the key shows held in China but an event which also has increased significance in the Asian yacht events calendar. EuroExpo and Grand Pavois see the takeover of CXIBS as fitting in with their development strategy in China and being a player in the marine leisure events market.

The latest CXIBS was held in early November and attracted some 40,000 visitors and 135 exhibitors. The 2012 event had 30,000m2 of covered space and 20,000m2 of water area in Xiamen marina. Over 30 craft were sold including a Majesty 105, a Majesty 88 and a Ferretti 80. In total 351 yachts were on display. (https://plus.ibinews.com, 24 December 2012)
