Nautical Academy (NA) has announced the opening of a new facility in Palma de Mallora and the launch of to new courses for superyacht crew.
Established two years ago, NA is based at MB’92 shipyard in Barcelona. The academy claims to be the first training facility of it’s kind where yacht crew can complete fully MCA, RYA and PYA accredited courses across all departments, including deck, medical, safety, security, leadership, interior and culinary courses.
Helen Warren, founder and instructor at NA, explains: “We are delighted to be expanding our facilities to Palma de Mallorca from Barcelona. We have had a very successful couple of years in MB’92 and now we are bringing our courses to the superyacht hub that is Palma. This will make our courses easily accessible for the crew based in and visiting Palma, so they they too can benefit from the expert training we offer.”
The first courses in Palma to be run are the Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD) and Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA). These courses will run straight after the Crew Show, to be held at The BoatHouse in Palma from 26-27 March.
