Imtech Marine opens two offices in Spain (12 November 2012)

The systems provider will target the superyacht and cruise ship sectors

Imtech Marine said it recently opened new offices in Barcelona and Valencia, Spain. The company opened its first Spanish office last year in Algeciras. The Rotterdam-based company now has 94 locations worldwide.

The Barcelona office is located in the MB92 Shipyard, which services the superyacht sector. The company said that it plans to expand its activities in the superyacht market as well as Spain’s cruise ship.

“Algeciras, Valencia and Barcelona are the most important ports in Spain and in the top 10 ports in Europe, said Eric van den Adel, managing director of Imtech Marine, in a statement. He added that the company’s strategy is to become the “preferred systems integrator and service providing partner” for its customers. “We have to be in all the vital spots in the world where ships are being operated,” said van den Adel. “We will continue to open more offices and add more services into our network.” (IBIPlus.com, 12 November 2012)
