Greece introduces new rules for yachts (May 19, 2020)

New measures came into effect today
The Greek Maritime Ministry has announced new regulations for the operation of yachts and pleasure craft which come into force today and will last through to June 15, 2020.
The Ministry statement about the new rules applies to pleasure boats and private yachts arriving from abroad and relate to the immediate period after the listing of the restrictive measures introduced to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The key points of the new measures are:
Entry rules for private yachts and commercial pleasure boats (except cruise ships) in ports, marinas and shipyards of mainland Greece, arriving from abroad. Such vessels are allowed to enter Greek ports only if they have no passengers, under specific health rules and with permission of he competent authority…..
