Roberto Giorgi has replaced Fabio Ermetto, who now serves as CCO at Benetti
Italy’s Azimut-Benetti Group has named Roberto Giorgi, honourary president of V Ships, as the new executive chairman of Fraser Yachts. The move follows Fabio Ermetto’s appointment as chief commercial officer for Benetti earlier this week.
Giorgi first started working for V Ships, a minority shareholder of Fraser Yachts, over 30 years ago and has since gained experience in the naval and nautical world, launching and managing the Leisure and Ship Management divisions. In his new role, Giorgi will continue to build on the platform already started by Ermetto.
“I am pleased to be able to continue the work and strategy that Fabio has already put in place,” says Giorgi, who will remain as honourary president at V Ships. “Fraser Yachts consistently sells more yachts than any other brokerage and is on course to do so for the fifth year running.”
Fraser Yachts is said to be the largest luxury yacht service provider in the world, with over 140 employees and 14 offices around the globe. Services include yacht sales, charter, yacht management, crew and construction, specialising in yachts over 30m.
