Superyacht brokerage company Fraser Yachts has announced a partnership agreement with V.Delta, the engineering and project management division of V.Group.
The new company, VF Yachts was initiated by Roberto Giorgi, executive chairman of Fraser Yachts and honorary chairman of V.Group, with the aim of focussing on project management and refit supervision for superyachts of 40m or more in length, with emphasis on 60-140m superyachts.
Speaking exclusively to SuperyachtNews.com, Giorgi disclosed that VF has three projects in the pipeline, which they are hoping to finalise in the next month or so.
The two companies have worked together for the past three or four years, and Giorgi explained, “We realised that if we were able to create more synergy between the two companies, Fraser and V. Delta, we could probably give a much stronger message to the market.”
“We united the people and the strength of both organisations to get more business. Today there is a lot of business coming in but we cannot take all of it, because we have a smaller structure, but with Delta we have a larger structure and are much more global.”
The new collaboration will bring together a combination of brokerage and qualified engineers and naval architects. Chris Semmens, technical manager at Fraser Yachts and Davide Lajolo, technical director at V.Delta, will lead the venture heading up their respective sides.
Giorgi commented that the duo have “already worked together so we know their chemistry is good, and they are aligned on the values that join them.”
In a separate statement to the media, Giorgi commented, “The track records of these two companies combined, plus their in-house expertise will add value to any owner building or refitting a yacht in any yard worldwide.”
Matteo Dimaio, director of technical services at V.Group added, “We believe that VF Yachts will offer superyacht owners a completely new, alternative, project management service, competing favorably (for the owner) with independent management companies and other companies within the industry”.
