First ‘Made in the UAE’ pavilion to feature at Dubai show (22 February 2013)

The 2013 Dubai International Boat Show will have a pavilion dedicated to the country’s top up-and-coming boatbuilders.

This year’s Dubai International Boat Show (March 5-9) is to feature a dedicated ‘Made in the UAE’ pavilion that will showcase the country’s top up-and-coming boatbuilders. Participating exhibitors include small to medium-sized companies such as Julfar Craft, Legacy Yachts and Ocean Boats.

Sponsored by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the pavilion aims to promote the growth of the country’s SMEs, facilitate their breakthrough into international markets and replicate the success of larger UAE boatbuilders such as Gulf Craft, the Al Hallami Group, Integrity Yachts and Emirates Boats.

“The display area has been introduced to demonstrate the growing extent of the Emirates’ nautical manufacturing ability, which is demonstrated by the UAE’s 40 per cent growth in boat sales in 2012 over the figures for 2011,” says a report by marine consultancy firm Mike Derrett Marine….(https://plus.ibinews.com, 21 February 2013)
