e3 launches eSAT airtime service for Kymeta that puts flat panel pricing on a par with 1m dome antennas for the first time (March 19, 2019)

New VSAT service developed in conjunction with Media Broadcast Satellite GmbH makes Kymeta a truly competitive connectivity solution for all vessels.

Palma de Mallorca – 18 March, 2019: Palma-based e3 Systems, the leading independent communications integrator, today announced the launch of a VSAT service for the Kymeta flat panel. The new eSAT service comes on line from 1 April, 2019.

For the first time the cost of airtime on a Kymeta panel using eSAT is equivalent to, and in multi panel configurations less than conventional VSAT using a 1m dome antenna. This cost-effective, flexible solution offers easy upgrade and downgrades and allows suspension of service. Other service specifications will be released shortly starting with a monthly allowance service with unlimited data.

eSAT currently provides cover for the Mediterranean, Caribbean and East Coast USA, as well as the north Atlantic.

Compatible with almost any IPTV solution including Now TV and Jetstream, eSAT costs are further reduced as both VSAT and TV are delivered via one single panel.

eSAT has been developed in conjunction with Media Broadcast Satellite – one of Europe’s leading providers of global satellite communications providing 24/7 support from its industry-leading teleport based near Frankfurt, Germany.
