*German superyacht builder Blohm+Voss, part of German shipyard Lürssen, and Spanish refit specialist MB92 form a joint venture to operate the 200x60m dry dock at La Ciotat shipyard in France.

Blohm+Voss, part of German shipyard Lürssen, and MB92 have reached an agreement to jointly manage via its joint venture Blohm+Voss La Ciotat SAS the 200x60m dry dock whose concession was granted last October.

”We are delighted to announce that further to constructive discussions with the management of La Ciotat Shipyards/SEMIDEP regarding the future use of the dry dock and the adjacent factory buildings, we have reached a good solution,” says Oliver Grün, media relations manager at Lürssen.

Grün continues: “A joint venture was formed between Blohm+Voss and the Spanish shipyard “Marina Barcelona 92” (MB92). The joint venture will offer and complete refit and repair orders. We are convinced that with the partnership we are able to make better use of the dock capacities and to offer our customers optimal conditions for maintenance and conversion activities of yachts over 80 metres long.”
