The Italia Sea Group will focus on megayachts, shipbuilding and refits.

Admiral Tecnomar has formed the Italia Sea Group after the completion of its acquisition of Nuovi Cantieri Apuania (NCA). The diversified group will consist of Admiral Tecnomar, which manufactures luxury superyachts, NCA which focuses on “high-tech value” shipbuilding, and NCA Refit, which specialises in refitting large ships and yachts. The company said in a statement it is now one of the biggest conglomerates in Italy’s boating industry.

Admiral Tecnomar said it recently completed the acquisition of NCA from Invitalia, the Italian National Agency for enterprise development. Terms were not disclosed.

Italia Sea Group will now focus on three different business activities — megayachts in aluminium and steel, high-tech commercial shipbuilding, and refits for yachts and other ships.
