For Palm Beach County alone the 30th Annual International Boat Show means millions of dollars in economic impact. It’s brought in through hotels, restaurants and shopping combined.
More than $1.2 billion worth of boats, yachts and accessories will be on display. Those boats come from all over the world. They include everything from 8-foot inflatables to power boats, fishing boats and even super yachts will be for sale.
There’s one yacht worth $60 million that accommodates 12 guests and 15 crew members. It has a helicopter pad, a huge sun deck, and a Jacuzzi right in the middle of it.
Besides the boats there will be all kinds of special events, including an aqua-zone and free fishing clinics for the kids. The 30th annual international boat show is a 4-day event and opens today at noon until 7 p.m.
