2013 Genoa boat show in major reorganisation (14 June 2013)

This year’s event will be held over five days instead of the usual nine.

In response to insistent requests by Italian exhibitors to reorganise the Genoa International Boat Show and align it to the international standards of the sector, the chairmen of Fiera di Genova and Ucina Confindustria Nautica (the Italian Marine Industry Association) have announced some important changes that will take place at the 53rd edition of the Genoa Boat Show in Italy.

This year’s edition, held at the Genoa Fair and Exhibition Center, will take place from October 2-6 – one week earlier than the previous edition. The event will also be held over five days instead of the usual nine, following exhibitor requests to shorten the show to guarantee a more intense focus of contacts during the fair.

The event will have a new layout that will favour the in-water areas. It will also display a very diversified range of proposals and product categories, organised by ‘thematic areas’: the Sea Experience, dedicated to water sports, with the possibility of performing trials; the Power Village, for marine engines; the Boat Discovery area, aimed at providing all necessary information for the first purchase of a boat; the Sailing World, an area dedicated to maxiyachts; the Tech Trade area and many more.
